Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Standard First Aid with CPR-A:
Course meets provincial Occupational Health and Safety requirements for an “A” certificate which is required in most workplaces. Course content covered in 16 hours includes procedures for unconsciousness, broken bones, life threatening emergencies and environmental injuries.
Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Standard First Aid with CPR-B:
A 17 hour course that adds infant and child resuscitation techniques to all of the topics covered in an OHS Standard First aid and CPR-A class. Recommended for people who work with youngsters.
Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Standard First Aid with CPR-C:
This course includes team resuscitation training in addition to covering all standard first aid skills and adult, child and infant procedures. Recommended for people involved in team settings such as industrial first aid groups, lifeguards, fire fighters, police officers and anyone wishing to enter a medical field.
Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Standard First Aid with HCP:
This a 19 hours course aimed at medical professionals requiring first aid certification along with health care provider CPR skills.
Occupational Health and Safety Re-certification:
Any of the OHS courses listed above may be re-certified by attending a one day clinic. Candidates are advised to practice their skills as their will be little time for more than skill assessment in the clinic. Must have current certification to attend re-certification clinic.
